How To Increase Your Blog Traffic With Google Social Bookmarking

The latest news in the social marketing field is that Google opted not to purchase Digg but decided to roll out its' own social bookmarking service.

They added many social bookmarking features to Google Reader:

a friend's list
RSS feed item sharing
commenting on blog posts
a blog recommendation engine based on your friend's feeds

The good news is that Chris Lang, a social marketing maven and author of a terrific ebook called "Wickedly Evil Social Marketing Tactics", is one step ahead of everyone else when it comes to using Google Reader's social bookmarking features to drive traffic to your blog.

Do You Submit Your Own Content on StumbleUpon?

Have you ever been flamed on StumbleUpon for submitting your own content?

Or how about receiving death threats like Marty Weintraub for posting on a seach marketing blog about how much he loves StumbleUpon?

While this is an extreme example, the fact remains that social media purists really frown on bloggers who submit their own stuff or other content that they deem as inappropriate.
