How To Make Money Affiliate Marketing [ October 1st, 2008 ] Posted in » Affiliate Marketing

- Guest Post by Charlie Page

You have probably heard that you have to be in affiliate programs to get ahead on the internet.

We all hear about people making huge incomes being a "super affiliate" and how these programs are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

But what IS an affiliate program and can we really make any money with them? Sometimes it's very confusing.

To help clear up that confusion, following are some basic definitions along with a checklist that is useful when examining any program.

Spiritual Marketing: How to Really Engage in Attraction Marketing

In network marketing, you are not just advertising the benefits of a product, hoping to make a sale, you are trying to get someone to join you in your business, to be a part of your team.

Hence the saying:

"People don't join companies, they join people."

But we all know this, right?

This is why we engage in attraction marketing strategies, such as those taught by Magnetic Sponsoring.

So why am I telling you this?

Stop Being Pushy With Web 2.0 Marketing

Everyone hates pushy salespeople.

Way back when I was in direct sales, I had a strong dislike for cold calling. The main reason for this was that you had to interrupt someone to try to get their attention. In other words, you had to be aggressive, or pushy.

The problem is that in sales, and if you are involved in internet marketing or network marketing, you are indeed a salesperson, you are often stuck between a rock and a hard place.

You do not earn any money unless you make a sale and you feel that you must push your message out there to succeed.

Authority Bloggers are Attraction Marketing Experts

One of the best ways to see the principles of attraction marketing in action is to read authority blogs.

Just look at your reactions and feelings after you read a great post by an influential blogger.

If you're like me, you find yourself thinking:

  • "Wow, that's a great idea, I'm going to try it."
  • "I want more, I'll subscribe to the RSS feed."
  • "I wish I could write like that."
  • "How does the author keep coming up with this awesome content?"

Magnetic Sponsoring is "The" Social Site for Network Marketers

Magnetic Sponsoring has come a long way from an affiliate program to a massive online community.

Mike Dillard has created a Magnetic Sponsoring Community, a social media site that caters to network marketers.

As with all web 2.0 properties, the site is driven by content created by members.

Users can submit articles and upload videos, and also vote and comment on content created by others.

This is a beautiful thing for network marketers, whose submissions are usually frowned upon by the "techies" at Digg and the "yuppy news hounds" on Propellor. Is the term "yuppy" still used?

How To Set Up an Automated Attraction Marketing System

Guest Post by Brad Weinman

In a previous post on attraction marketing, we looked at how successful network marketers use this strategy to build their businesses without having to suffer rejection and frustration.

One of the keys to success in any internet marketing strategy is the ability to set up an automated system.

Here’s a brief outline of 4 components required to automate the process of attraction marketing:

How Successful Network Marketers Use Attraction Marketing

Guest Post by Brad Weinman

Are you struggling to build your network marketing business or using outdated strategies that don’t work?

Here's what I'm talking about:

  • buying overpriced leads with little or no results
  • suffering the rejection of cold calling
  • sending out tons of emails, getting no response (and being accused of spamming)
  • running newspaper ads and getting ZERO calls
  • putting signs on telephone poles (usually illegal)
  • holding "dog and pony show" meetings at your home or a hotel
  • alienating your family and friends by pitching to them

Why Listen to Mike Dillard?

Stay Tuned to the Network Marketing Industry

I had originally planned to write a commentary on a new series of articles by Mike Dillard on "The Future of Network Marketing in an Online World".

I chose instead to post about why I think you should listen to and keep up with what Mike has to say.

I do recommend you read Mike's new series, you can read Part 1 here.

To access the article, you will have to join the Magnetic Sponsoring Community (it's free).

I encourage you to join this community, for reasons we shall see below.

Why You Should Listen to Mike Dillard

  • he is a successful and experienced network marketer
  • Mike is a student of the industry and regularly writes about trends
  •  to be successful, you need to keep an eye on these trends
  • Mike has aligned himself with professionals in the business and you need to do the same
  • you need to become interactive in online network marketing communities like the one at MagneticSponsoring.com

Mike made a very good point in Part 1 of the series mentioned above.

He said that attraction marketing, the techniques taught in Magnetic Sponsoring, are now no longer a "secret weapon" but are pretty much mainstream.

If you don't know much about attraction marketing, now is the time to get caught up by going here.

I guess my main reason for writing this post was that the first thing I thought of after I read "The Death of Network Marketing" was that this isn't anything new.

Mike Dillard had been writing about these trends in the mlm industry for a few years.
