How to Make Time Management a Spiritual Practice
"How are you doing?"
"Just taking it one day at a time."
How many times have you heard this response, or used it yourself?
This may seem like an ordinary statement, but it is actually very powerful.
Taking it one day at a time has everything to do with effective time management and keeping the concept of time in the proper perspective.
Here are some great quotes regarding time:
"History is more or less bunk. It's tradition. We don't want tradition. We want to live in the present and the only history that is worth a tinker's damn is the history we make today."
- Henry Ford
"The best thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time."
- Abraham Lincoln
"I never think of the future. It comes soon enough."
- Albert Einstein
"The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is."
- C.S. Lewis
"Life can be found only in the present moment. The past is gone, the future is not yet here, and if we do not go back to ourselves in the present moment, we cannot be in touch with life."
- Thich Nhat Hanh
"The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle."
- Anais Nin
"Life is a succession of moments. To live each one is to succeed."
- Corita Kent
"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present."
- Babatunde Olatunji
Staying in the present, not worrying about what you did not accomplish yesterday and not stressing about your ever-expanding to-do list, is an extremely effective way to live your life and approach your marketing.
We find this teaching in the Bible:
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day."
- Matthew 6:34
Applying this process of focusing on one day at a time will make a huge difference in your life, and in your internet marketing.
It is a simple practice, and rightfully so.
