PPC Classroom Warning: What You Need To Know
PPC Classroom was released today, yet another product that reveals the secrets of a little-known affiliate marketer who is making a ton of money with pay per click.
This seems to be a formula that works for selling products because I have seen it a few times this year.
In this case the affiliate marketer is Jeremy Palmer who teamed up with Anik Singal to create an extensive product that highlights the strategies that Jeremy used to generate over $1.4 million in sales last year.
First of all, for an intelligent review of what is good and bad about the product, read Andrew Wee's "No BS Product Review of PPC Classroom".
This review is exactly what it says it is - no BS - and Andrew makes the point that he is tired of seeing so-called "reviews" posted that are actually just blurbs promoting the product itself. I'm sick of this as well.
Andrew offers an extensive rundown of the components of the course and includes his opinion regarding the potential benefits.
Here are some things that I think you need to keep in mind when looking at a product like this:
- Jeremy Palmer won an award as the top affiliate at Commission Junction. The guy is an all-star. If you are hoping that this product will help you earn the type of commissions that he does, you will have to rise to the very top of the affiliate marketing game.
- Rising to the top of this game involves a lot of work. I recall reading a bio of Jeremy who stated that in the beginning he often worked 20 hour days and on occasion still does. His usually puts in about 50-60 hours per week. Obviously this business is his passion. Many of you do affiliate marketing on the side and simply cannot devote the time and energy it would take for you to replicate Jeremy's success.
- There is a steep learning curve and more work. Product and keyword research, creating ads, tracking and testing, landing pages, analytics, etc. and so on. Pay per click is an area of marketing that requires constant tracking and testing.
- Jeremy's business is actually very sophisticated. I think he is currently running approximately 135 campaigns. I can't imagine tracking and managing this many campaigns. The product does include software that can track campaigns across various pay per click search engines. However, you cannot expect to just place some ads and sit back and collect the commissions. Far from it.
- Jeremy's business is financially sophisticated. He grossed $1.4 million but his advertising costs were (I'm using round numbers) $560,000. Of course that makes for a terrific profit margin but right now I could not imagine trying to run a business where I was paying $10,000 per month on advertising, let alone $50,000.
Now, if your goal is to make an extra few thousand a month and you are willing to really take the time to learn and focus on pay per click marketing this could be a good product for you. That is if you don't mind paying the $497 price tag.

PPC Classroom may also benefit those who have already achieved a level of success with pay per click and are looking to take their business to the next level.
As far as making you a millionaire, well you have to become a real pro like Jeremy.
And that isn't easy.
