How To Write Headlines That Generate Network Marketing Leads
The majority of headlines in the network marketing industry are really ineffective.
We see headlines like this all the time:
"New 3 x 3 Matrix Just Launched…."
Why is this headline ineffective?
The bottom line is that nobody cares!
I mean, have you ever got up in the morning hoping that someone would launch a new 3 x 3 matrix?
Absolutely not!
As a network marketer, the main goal of your marketing and advertising is to generate leads.

Your headline is the most important part of your message.
It should inspire readers to take action, whether it be:
- to read your post or article
- to click on your link
- to subscribe to your newsletter
- to opt-in to receive more information
You must motivate readers to take action in order to generate network marketing leads.
Here are some ways to write headlines that will grab the attention of network marketers:
Your headline should address the fundamental purposes of marketing.
Test this by asking:
- does my headline answer an important question?
- does it provide the promise of pleasure that people seek?
- does it address pain that I can help to cure?
- what problem does it help to solve?
These questions all relate to the crucial "What's In It For Me?" question.
Your headline should be results-oriented.
People in the mlm network marketing industry are concerned with results.
They want to see:
- what kind of money is being made
- how many leads you have generated
- how many new reps you have sponsored
This is what gets attention.
If you are new and do not have any attention-getting results, then use the results of your sponsor or upline.
For example, if you are promoting Magnetic Sponsoring, use Mike Dillard's success as a marketing strategy.
Similarly, with Carbon Copy Pro, you can leverage the success of Jay Kubassek.
Use numbers in your headlines.
People love numbers.
But not just any old numbers.
Do NOT use round numbers in your headlines, use odd numbers.
For example:
Instead of, "Learn How I Created 100 Leads…",
Say, "Learn How I Created 97 Leads…".
Instead of, "Learn How I Earned $500….",
Say, "Learn How I Earned $497….".
Odd numbers are much more believable and attractive.
Please ensure that you are also being honest as well.
Include a time frame in your headline.
This increases the effectiveness of using numbers:
"Learn How I Created 97 Leads in 3 Weeks."
"Discover How I Earned $4,328 in 45 Days."
Use the word "new" and powerful descriptive words.
Let's do this with the above two headlines:
"Amazing New System Created 97 Red-Hot Leads in 3 Weeks."
"Discover the Incredible New System I Used to Earn $4,328 in 45 Days."
What is the most powerful word in advertising?
The word "free" is still number one.
However, readers have to perceive value in your free giveaway.
Here's a fantastic and effective headline from Ty Tribble that uses a freebie as an added incentive:
"Sign Up Now for Ty Tribble's Success Newsletter, learn how Ty created 2385 Leads in 3 Months and get a free copy of Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich"
Ty added about 5,000 subscribers in 6 months to his newsletter using this headline.
How many strategies did he use with this headline?
Test, test, and test some more.
Keep testing and tracking your headlines, not only for response rates but for conversions as well.
