I love going to live events in the network marketing industry. It’s a rare occasion that makes it REAL… When the names, voices, and pictures of so many people you think you know come to life.

And what always surprises you is that once you finally meet them in person, you realize that you didn’t actually know them at all until that moment.

You learn more about each other within the first 10 seconds as you see who they really are as a person by the way they stand, the clothes they wear, the look in their eye, and sound of their words.

It’s always a surprising moment for both people as expectations and assumptions are replaced by what is hopefully a new reality that exceeds them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is not the point of this article, or the lame secret I'm going to reveal, but a tip that I’d like to share anyway…

If you aren’t in the habit of attending events in this industry for training or for your company, do it. I can’t think of a more effective way to better yourself and your business.

You have to physically surround yourself with like-minded individuals if you want to achieve the same kind of results and lifestyle, and you’ll walk away from each experience a new and better person in some way.

In fact, I’ve decided to finally reveal “the secret” to success in the network marketing industry, right here in this post.

You see, without fail, I’m quietly pulled aside and led away into a quiet dark corner at these events by an individual or two, bent on prying the “real” secret out of me…

“So Mike, what’s the real secret to building a big business? And don’t give me the same old answers you give to everyone else… I know you’re not telling the whole story. I want the REAL secret. Don’t worry… No one’s watching… No one’s listening. You can tell me, and it will stay just between us.”

These attempts are persuasive, but unnecessary, as I’m always glad to reveal the answer, which is always the same…

This is THE “real” secret that no one else wants to talk about. It’s the secret that you’ll never find in advertisements or company presentations.

But I must warn you… it’s an ugly, unsexy, massive let-down-of-a-secret, which is probably why no one likes to reveal it.

When someone finally pries this information out of me, they usually get angry and think that I’m blowing them off or holding back.

In fact, about six months ago I was talking with my friend Jay Kubassek at a training event when an energetic young man approached us and asked “the question”.

Jay knows the “real” secret as well, and we revealed it to the man together.

“No really… What’s the secret?”, was all he said in return as a tiny hint of that anger I’m talking about began to spread across his brow.

Despite his persistent efforts to get a different, more appealing answer out of us, he could not, because the “real” secret is what it is, whether you like it or not.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I’m about to share with you now is lamest, most disappointing, unsexy, frustrating, and unsatisfying answer to an important, life-changing question you could ever get… The kind of answer that makes people want to kick you where the sun doesn’t shine after you reveal it to them.

And I know, because I used to be the guy asking that question, and that’s how I felt when my mentors gave me the same stupid answer I’m about to give you.

BUT…

Despite it’s ugly-duckling appearance, it is in fact, responsible for all of my success, and therefore a completely true and honest answer whether you like it or not.

So go ahead and ask me…

YOU: “Mike, what’s the REAL secret?”

ME: “Well, the REAL secret… Is that there is no secret.”

YOU: “That’s your answer Mike? I’m just trying to get ahead here and pay my bills and that’s all you can give me? Whatever. You suck.”

See… I told you it was a big let down.

But if you’re willing to keep reading, I’ll tell you what that answer really means…

There is no secret. (Just as disappointing the second time around isn’t it?)

But really, here’s what that means…

Myself and Jay and the rest of the instructors at MagneticSponsoring.com have worked harder than everyone else, for longer than everyone else, and made more sacrifices than anyone else will ever know about in order to become “successful”.

From the outside, it looks like magic to others… Like we acquired some “secret” knowledge that gave us some kind of incredible advantage over everyone else.

You don’t see the mountain of blood, sweat, and tears we’re standing on… just the end result.

And so there must be a secret… some magic bag of fairy dust we sprinkle on ourselves each day that enables us to generate 1,000’s of leads and speak confidently on the phone.

No… I’m afraid to say that it’s just as lame, and yet incredibly important as my answer above.
