Internet Marketing Strategies for Network Marketers

This is the first time I've written specifically about [tag]network marketing [/tag] on this blog.

Although I'm not currently involved in any network marketing opportunities, I have a lot of experience in this area and I am always watching what is transpiring within this industry.

My interest in writing about this niche stems mainly from:

  • the high failure rate experienced (over 95%)
  • the underlying reasons for this high failure rate
  • the changes in the [tag]mlm[/tag] industry
  • how I can help in providing solutions for online network marketers
  • how I can prevent the waste of money on marketing methods that do not work

Network marketing is very similar to affiliate marketing.

Both of these forms of marketing involve getting paid for promoting someone else's products.

However, with network marketing, you also get paid a percentage of other affiliates whom you recruit into the network.

This leverage has always been the big attraction in multi-level marketing.

Is traditional MLM dying?

The answer to this question can be yes and no.

I feel that it is certainly difficult to achieve the "mlm dream" of working hard for a few years and then retiring with a substantial residual income.

Maybe impossible.

There are various reasons for this.

The most important have to do with how marketing as a whole is changing. And marketing is changing in a huge way.

To understand this, you need to read "The Attention Age Doctrine Part 2" by Rich Schefren. This is a free download, and not an affiliate link.

What you need to know.

  • how and why the mlm industry has changed
  • what opportunities suit today's market
  • how to market these opportunities

Sounds simple enough. But there's a lot more to it than meets the eye.

I will be posting about these relevant topics in the upcoming weeks.

The next post will focus on getting leads. The right way, the wrong way, what a funded proposal is, and how to "piggyback" on another marketers' success.

Rich writes about this "piggybacking" in "The Attention Age Doctrine". Read it.
