I must admit that I submit my own content. But in my defense it is so cool that I would be doing the internet an injustice by not sharing it :)

Is there an update on this or is it still generally considered bad form to post content that you feel is important?

I'm not wanting to step on any toes but at the same time I'd like to help a charity I'm working with succeed with it's online experience.

Nice article too - everyone is selling something is about right, it's just a matter of who value what and how much.

Great tips and links to additional resources.

I am new to stumbleupon and want to avoid giving the users there the wrong impression, so your advice is very timely for me.

I will now make some friends so we can stumble each others content.

Mark thanks for your insight. That might explain the sudden drop off in SU directing traffic. Always more to learn!!

I could not agree more. What we are actually talking about here is SPAM but as web 2.0 evolves, and technology becomes more advanced it will become more difficult to get an audience for your site. Just Like WEB 1 and older strategies. Online marketers will allways find a way to get traffic to their sites and this whole internet is changing so fast and you will never keep everyone happy all of the time. Mark Leonard.
