18 Reasons Why I Hate Being a Perfectionist
Since it's almost the start of another new year I was thinking about making some resolutions but I couldn't come up with the perfect plan.

I really hate being a perfectionist.
Here's why:
1. You're always bruised from beating yourself up.
2. Your work never appears to be good enough.
3. You constantly compare yourself to others.
4. Perfectionism creates procrastination.
5. Procrastination breeds self-criticism.
6. Self-criticism leads to more planning.
7. Planning means creating and recreating massive "to-do" lists.
8. The lists are not completed and the cycle starts again.
9. I have to go now to rewrite a post I published last week.
10. I'm back but I may have to edit this post before continuing.
11. You analyze everything to death.
12. You analyze everything to death.
13. The smallest task can take hours, or months.
14. Being spontaneous is….well, what is it?
15. You take criticism poorly.
16. You take yourself way too seriously.
17. You take everything way too seriously.
18. I'm feeling overwhelmed, I have to go and lie down.
If you're in any way concerned about my mental health, and you should be, don't worry because tomorrow I will be perfect !
