A "Fishing" Lesson from Mike Filsaime

recently posted an article on his blog that should be of great interest to everyone involved in internet marketing strategies.

The article has a strange title: "Fish, Poles, Boxes, and Buttons, …WTC?"

To find out what he is referring to you can read the article here: Mike Filsaime's Blog.

In the article Mike provides an analysis of the market share that can be obtained by selling different types of products.

And who better to provide this kind of information.

Mike continues to be one of the top internet marketers and is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of online marketing.

The bottom line is that he knows what sells and how to sell it.

Mike identifies "push button" products that sell for a premium as the best products to offer.

These are products that offer a solution "in a box" that all a person basically has to do is plug in and get results.

This really comes at no surprise for modern society has a "quick fix" mentality.

People tend to prefer to just take a pill to lose weight or quit smoking instead of putting in the hard work that it takes to get results the "old fashioned" way.

This same mentality is seen in the approach to internet marketing.

People want to get rich quick but do not want to bother with the long hours of training and work it takes to learn how to be a really effective marketer.

Personally I think this is sad and I prefer to take the time to educate myself so that I can create skills and develop relationships (and income) that will be long-lasting and rewarding.

However, this discovery does provide vital food-for-thought for marketers.

In creating or marketing a product there is always a large market for a premium service that people are willing to pay top dollar for.

These premium services should provide the buyer with a better, faster, and easier-to-implement solution that they can pretty much just purchase and put into action.

As long as the price of the "push-button" product can be justified by, for example, a fast return on investment, you should have customers lined up at your door to buy it.

So if you are marketing a product or service, on or off the internet, you should consider the potential of offering your customers a total solution.

If you don't, you could be leaving money on the table. A lot of money.

By the way, this article on Mike Filsaime's Blog contains no affiliate links and you are not asked to buy anything.

Mike is just sharing information from what he has learned from his vast experience as an internet marketer.

Enjoy!
